How To Watch The Super Mario Bros. Movie
Where Can I Watch The Mario Movie?
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is still playing in some cinemas around the world, though there are now a few more options for how you can watch the film including digitally via VOD, or from the film's physical release.
Is The Mario Movie On Streaming Services?
The official answer is no, not yet. While we do not have an official date for when the Mario Movie will be heading to streaming services, we can make some informed predictions based on how Illumination and Universal Pictures have scheduled their streaming releases in the past.
USA
We know that in the US, The Super Mario Bros. Movie will be heading to Peacock, as is the case for all Universal Pictures (of which Illumination is a subsidiary) releases. The streaming deal (via The Verge) states that any Universal project will be added to the service no later than four months after the film's theatrical release date — meaning that the Mario Movie will likely arrive on Peacock in early August at the latest.
This being said, the studio's previous films have regularly appeared on the streaming service roughly seven weeks after their theatrical premiere, which might put Mario's Peacock arrival around the end of May — though this is unlikely given the film's success at the box office so far.
We can also expect that the film will come to Netflix in the US after its initial four-month run on Peacock thanks to an agreement between the streaming giant and Universal from 2021.
